The 7040 slide is part of the new ULTIO range of slides. Manufactured with state of the art production methods, ULTIO slides benefit from high quality materials including professionally drawn/rolled plated steel sections and stainless bearings to increase corrosion resistance. Our production capacity is market leading and we are in the process of implementing a global stock programme with our distribution partners
Due to investments in production capacity we can completely revolutionise the process which heavy duty, cold drawn steel slides have been manufactured in the past. The result is an excellent slide range which reflects the substantial investment we have made with our Group Company, Sliding Systems Asia. This means price downs and buy on line capability.
This slide is designed to extend 150% of the closed length, so the drawer completely leaves the fabrication and access can be made at the rear without over reaching. The 7040 slide is manufactured from professionally extruded cold drawn carbon steel grade C45 with industry standard zinc passivate plating. The quality of high grade steel profile is very important in achieving highly accurate ball races which allow a slight pre-load without lateral play between the beams.
This quality of movement is usually associated with high end hardened steel slides at substantially higher price points.
The bearings and ball cages are made from grade 304 stainless steel to increase corrosion resistance. Load rating at 600mm is 250kg per extended pair which is substantially higher than what is currently available in Europe. All ULTIO slides are interchangeable with other European manufacturers whilst offering higher quality at more competitive price points. Ultio 7040 slide weighs 9.5kg per metre.
Applications for the Super Extension 7040 slides are ATMs, fire truck light portable pumps, robotics and military generators.
The 7040 slide is tested at 10,000 operational cycles, with the slides spaced 1000mm apart. At 550mm length, with full extension and SWL loading of 255kg, the slides deflect 24mm. Deflection is the measurement of drop taken at the full extension of the slides and influences the ease of operational forces to close and open the drawer. Four beam 150% extension slides deflect approx 4% of their closed length under maximum loading due to the multiple beams; much less for part load. At this maximum load capacity the operational forces are still less than 5kg to open and close. During testing, the drawer was stable without any side load movement or damage to the raceways, due to the high grade of steel used in the construction of the beams.
This slide is stocked across all key lengths, however please allow 8 weeks for high OEM volumes or consult our sales engineers to confirm best availability.
