Sliding Systems is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Tim Sawyer. He will join the global team, in this newly created role of Product Director – Linear motion.
Having worked for the last six years as Technical Sales Engineer at HepcoMotion and Business Development Engineer at HepcoAutomation, Tim brings with him a wealth of experience and specific technical knowledge.
The addition of hardened steel telescopic slides and linear motion systems is an organic addition to the Sliding Systems existing range. Following months of research and product development Sliding Systems are now providing cost effective, high quality, ground raceways and induction hardened rails, including black phosphorus protection.
In his new role, Tim will be a pivotal link between our manufacturing partner SAIBO for hardened products and Sliding Systems ever increasing global customer base, with the rapid technical and sales support service they need.
Tim has worked as a project/design engineer in the biomass and wastewater handling industry, as well as the automotive sector, before working at HepcoMotion, where he would regularly be meeting customers and discussing potential linear and automation applications. During this role he worked with a large number of different industries including materials handling, automotive, pharmaceutical, nuclear, aerospace and special purpose machine builders to name a few.
